On April 21, SPJ/ONA DePaul and 14 East Magazine hosted an introductory data journalism workshop led by Pulitzer Prize-winning L.A. Times Data Journalist Ben Welsh. At the workshop, Welsh, who’s a DePaul alum, taught attendees how to clean and analyze data using spreadsheets to produce quality, data-driven stories.
