SPJ DePaul President Brianna Kelly was recently awarded one of two $2,500 academic scholarship through the Minnesota Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.
On June 18, she attended the Page One Awards banquet at the Town & Country Club in St. Paul, Minn., to receive the scholarship. The event included a silent auction, dinner, a keynote speech by Randi Kaye of CNN, and an awards ceremony honoring the work of Minnesota’s journalists.
Kelly, who’s from Minnesota, will use the scholarship money toward her graduate journalism classes at DePaul.
